Climate of Rajasthan |
|
The climate of Rajasthan comprises four seasons: Summer, Monsoon, Post-Monsoon and Winter.
 Summer: The summer season extends from the month of April to the month of June. The period is the hottest season with temperature ranging from 32 degree C to 45 degree C. Temperature may rise to 48 degree C in western Rajasthan in the month of May and June. During this season, Mount Abu (the only hill station of Rajasthan) registers the lowest temperatures.
Monsoon: The monsoon in Rajasthan extends from the month of July to the month of September. During this period temperature drops but humidity increases. The temperature ranges from 35 degree C to 40 degree C. The state receives approximately 90% of its annual rainfall in this season only.

The Post-monsoon: From the month of October to the month of November is the period of the Post-Monsoon. The average maximum temperature is 33 degree C to 38 degree C, and
the minimum is between 18 degree C and 20 degree C.
Winter: During the period of December to March, lies the winter. The coldest month of the season is January. The temperature ranges from 10 degree C to 27 degree C. Temperature may drop to 0 degree C in some cities of Rajasthan, like Churu.
